Specialist – BSU Digital Corps, 2008-present

Assisted with special projects, including the formatting and layout of an 80 page research white paper for BSU's Center for Media Design. Lab attendant in high-end computer lab, responsible for helping with and teaching digital media software.

Multimedia Editor – Expo Magazine, Fall 2008-present

In early stages of a redesign that will go live in 2009. Working to: integrate video and audio, organize archive material and implement light redesigns for each print issue.

Web Developer – Expo Magazine, Spring 2008-present

Developed interactive quiz to supplement online article. Created multimedia slideshow combining student interviews into story form.

Redesign Team Member – Ball Bearings, 2008-present

Technical consultant during 2008-2009 redesign planning and (future) standards-compliant implementation. Currently preparing training sessions and seminars for new members about future site’s setup.

Journalism Honor Society. Beginning work Fall 2008 on a multimedia-based departmental showcase for prospective Ball State journalism students.

Lead Designer – Odyssey Magazine, 2006-2007

Only designer for 40-page publication: taught InDesign and layout to E.I.C.; adjusted her designs to correct technical issues. Responsible for layout, page design, asset management and pre-press. Balanced work between magazine and 24 hours of classes.

Editor-In-Chief – Eaglite, 2005-2006

Managed staff and generated majority of content during creation of 175 page yearbook. Designed and implemented new computer lab/workstation. Taught InDesign to journalism teacher and four-person staff. Performed every job in some form: cover design, layout, page design, photo editing, writing, ad sales, copy editing, staff computer training/troubleshooting and pre-press proofing.

Webmaster – Frankton High School Website, 2005-2006

Lead complete redesign in standards-compliant XHTML and CSS. Implemented audio and video performances of school events. Performed daily updates and maintenance. Prepared documentation for teacher and future students.
